Is Wayne Rooney Englands Biggest Concern

Wayne Rooney with this England Team mates
During this media fiasco over the sordid romps of Wayne Rooney, people seem to be missing the whole point of why this came about and how it is taking it’s toll on the team in general. And yes, I know about the birds and the bee’s thank you, but the major issue here is that we are or were talking about football and not just daily gossip from the playground.

My major concern here is that this does have it’s problems with the team, and by this I mean the amount of media hijacking which goes on with those players who have not been used to the spotlight intensity.

We all knew the Rooney scandle had been brewing for months and that his antics were common knowledge at Old Trafford, I mean come on, please don’t treat the public as being a complete bunch of idiots. The main reason why it didn’t hit the press was due to the FA and Government placing a media block on such information being leaked and hindering the performance of the team in South Africa.

Instead, 70% of the team decided to take it on their own shoulders and completely ruin the hopes of the british fan base by playing like a bunch of has been hero’s, who couldn’t score, defend or keep goal for your average sunday team without letting them down to.

The simple answer to all of this is Fabio Capello and The FA, let them decide who plays and why so that everyone has someone to blame at the end of the day for good or bad performance, because that’s what everyone want’s – someone to pass the book to.

Anyway, as a female journalist I need to ask two solid questions:

1) Why did he think that by playing away the other person involved would never say anything to the press?
2) It may have cost him £1,200 for a night, but how much will this cost him mentally, let alone long term, financially?

With well over 17 out of a possible 60 games played, Eutelsat have beemed through their satellite service down to 50ft cinema sized screen in over 19 countries, which included; Baltics and Nordic Countries, France, Germany, Italy, Russia and Spain.

South Africa Mascot 2010 World Cup Eutelsat have calculated that by the time the World Cup ends in South Africa, they would have transmitted well in excess of 250 hours of 3D coverage, with the last transmission being on the 11th July 2010.

A statement issued by Eutelsats Commercial Director, Andrew Wallace said: “Eutelsat has been working intensively with partners on 3D since 2008 to support the creation of this new consumer experience for both television and out-of-home viewing. 3D is an exacting and bandwidth-hungry application, requiring up to 40 Mbps of capacity for out-of-home venues, and the highest levels of collaboration between all players in the transmission chain.”

“After many months of demonstrations, testing and analysis, we have an exceptional platform with the FIFA World Cup(TM) to go to the next stage and offer consumers the opportunity of full immersion in a sporting event taking place thousands of miles from Europe. 3D is without doubt the technology achievement of this year’s World Cup.”
