Jaguar Concept Jet Car at Paris Motorshow 2010

Where's the filler cap George?

30th September 2010 – Paris Motorshow Today sees the launch of The Paris Motor Show with all of the top manufacturer’s airing the new models for 2011, as well as concept vehicles for the next generation.

And Jaguar are no different this year, showing off the ‘Jaguar Jet Powered Supercar’ for the first time, which is pulling mainstream editors from every corner of the motoring press and industry because “it’s electric!”

That’s right, Jaguar Cars have developed the first supercar which is powered by 4 electric motors and does not have a petrol tank in sight. The concept C-X75 has been put together as a concept, which may now become a reality due to a sudden interest in the company who have supplied the ‘Jet’ pack.

This Hy-brid car can travel over 560 miles between charges, thanks to a technological shift into using gas powered jets to supply extra ‘umph’ to the power plants. And in short, this means that the previous record set by a hy-brid supercar has just been beaten mashed by 460 miles between fill ups.

Since this technology has been thouroughly tested, the company who supplied the Jet system, Bladon Jets who are based in Shropshire, have agreed to sell a share of their business to the Inidan owners of Jaguar, Tata. And with the sudden boost of extra capitol, who knows what Bladon Jets will come up with next?

The Chairman of Bladon Jets, Paul Barrett said: “This is a very exciting milestone for our company.”
