Bugatti Veyron Goes On Sale Today in India

Bugatti Veyron On Sale in India Today

Following months of speculations over the launch of the Bugatti Veyron, Volkswagon today revealed the first production model which went on sale in the Indian capital today. With only around 70 or so vehicles to be sold around the globe, VW Automibles have said they may not be opening too many showrooms to stock the most expensive car in the world.

With a top speed for the Grand Sport of 407kmh (253mph) and a 0-62mph in 2.5seconds, this bad boy will be distributed by a company called Exclusive Motors in India.

Although this is sounds nice, the only problem that VW Automibiles have with the car is delivery – as the delay between order and the buyer receiving the car is just over 8 months. And, when we are talking $millions – who in their right mind will part with that amount of crust when they have to wait for such a long time?

The price for the car will depend on the currency changes – so lets hope for someone who orders one today, they don’t see the bottom fall out of the exchange rate before they take delivery.

When asked about the reason for opening distribution in India, the Sales Manager for Bugatti, Guy Caquelin said: “The demand for the Veyron over the last year has proven popular with Indian people” – which Bugatti claim is somewhere around 4 enquiries.

Not looking at going completely over the top, VW Automobiles have announced that they are planning on launching a new model for next year called the ‘Galibier.’ This will be their four door version of the supercar but in a limousine style – with the 1000bhp Veyron engine in it.

I wonder if Simon Cowell has heard about this?
