Delhi F1 Circuit 2011 Over the last week, we reported about the problems over the Commonwealth Games and how India is experiencing a ‘lash back’ over the accommodation not being quite up to scratch.

Well, it was reported today that this may be the case for the Delhi Grand Prix for October 2011, even though Bernie Ecclestone is claiming that everything is on target for the new track.

But according to Jake Humphrey, the BBC1 presenter for F1 – it may be a case of a last minute rush to complete the build.

Jake, who this week visited the track in Delhi on his way to singapore said, ‘ I must confess I was surprised by how much there is still to do.’

Visiting the circuit, you look down the main start / finish straight into turn one, and the track dissapears into a lake of water. We can only hope will not be the case come next October. And as if that wasn’t slightly concerning, the garages in the pits have only just been started, with the first two built, but no where near complete.

Vicky Chandhok, father of racing driver Karun Chandhok – is involved with not only the building of the track and facilities, but also the event marketing for 2011.

What Chandhok seems to think is that everything is on schedule – yet the picture being seen at the circuit is completely the opposite.
