- Friday 29th October – and thousands if not millions of ‘Take That’ fans have been pounding the websites and telephone exchanges of ticket websites in an attempt to be one of a small percentage to see the revival of Take That on tour in 2011.
What many people forgot to take into account was the fact that the dates in the UK were the only ones that have been released, which means that fans as far away as Asia, America, the southern hemisphere and Easter Europe were all in the queue as well.
The choice of ticket agency was going to provide the key to the speed of sale and availability – which meant that the promotors of the event selected 6 of the worlds best known agencies to host the sale of the tour tickets.
Now, with only so many lines available into the agency call centres, and the much anticipated rush to get the tickets the moment they went on sale, Ticketmaster – the worlds largest reseller of event tickets went into melt down 5 minutes before the doors were opened, or so they say!
But what about the auction sites and secondary seller sites of tickets, how come they were being advertised before the tickets went on sale?
Well, the answer is simple – most of the big ticket “touts” will begin these sales way before the launch of the tickets and will cancel the auction or sale should they not get them.
So, for every single person who didn’t get hold of a ticket – sorry but you are one of thousands who are bitterly sitting there head in hands thinking what price these touts will put on the sale of the tickets on aution sites over the next 24hours.
But be careful, due to the demand and the rutheless counterfit scams out there right now, you could get your fingers burnt if you are not carefull.
